You've found the perfect design, chosen the diamond, and are about to take one of the most important steps in your life. But there's one last detail, a question that holds almost all our clients back: the ring size. It's a delicate matter, a secret you must keep to ensure the surprise is complete.
We know that the question "what if it doesn't fit?" can cause uncertainty. As your trusted jewelers, we've prepared this detailed guide with professional and discreet methods to ensure you get it right the first time. Your secret is safe with us.
Method 1: The PAROI Printed Guide (Our Recommendation)
We've designed a calibrated PDF document that you can print at home to get your exact size in seconds. This document includes two tools: size charts and a measuring tape.
Option A: The Circles (The Discreet Way)
- Borrow a ring she usually wears on her ring or middle finger (the middle finger is usually half to a full size larger). Make sure it's a simple band ring.
- Print our guide making sure the print scale is set to 100% (no margins or adjustments).
- Place your ring over the different printed circles on the sheet.
- The perfect circle is the one that is seen exactly from the inside of the ring, touching the metal without any white space remaining.
Option B: The Measuring Tape
If you're measuring your size together, or if you know someone (family or friends) who wears the same size as your partner, use the tape measure included in the PDF. Cut it along the dotted line, make a small slit where indicated, and wrap the tape around your finger with the numbers facing out. Pass the end through the slit and gently pull until it's snug but comfortable. The number marked on the slit will be your exact size.

Method 2: Millimeter Measurement
If you don't have a printer handy, but you have access to one of their rings for a few minutes (take advantage when they shower or do sports), accuracy is your best ally.
- Place the ring on a flat surface.
- Use a ruler or, preferably, a caliper.
- Measure the inner diameter of the ring, from one inner edge to the other, passing right through the center.
- Write down the exact measurement in millimeters (for example, 16.55 mm). Do not round up.
- Consult our PAROI Size Chart at the bottom of this page to find your equivalent. If you are between sizes, always choose the larger one.
Method 3: Digital Ingenuity
If physically accessing the ring is too risky or you only have it in your hands for an instant, this is our "workshop trick".
- The Photograph: Place the ring on a flat surface and take a perfectly overhead photo (from above) with your mobile phone. Make sure there is no optical distortion.
- Calibration: Later, when you have access to the physical ring again and she's not around, open the photo on your screen. Place the real ring on your phone and adjust the zoom until the image on the screen is exactly the same size as the physical ring.
- The Capture: Remove the ring and take a screenshot without touching the zoom. Save it in a secure folder. When you're ready, measure the inner diameter of that ring on your phone's screen with a ruler.
Workshop Tips: What you should keep in mind
For a perfect fit, our master craftsmen recommend taking these anatomical factors into account:
- Temperature matters: Fingers contract in the cold and swell in the heat, especially first thing in the morning. If you measure your finger (using our printed tape measure), do so in the mid-afternoon in a warm environment.
- Knuckle width: The base of your finger may be narrower than your knuckle. If this is the case, the correct size should be a balance: snug enough so the ring doesn't rotate at the base, but loose enough to slip over your knuckle with a little resistance.

Your Peace of Mind is Our Commitment
We've designed these methods to give you maximum precision. However, in fine jewelry, we know that the perfect fit sometimes requires a second fitting.
If, despite all our efforts, the ring doesn't fit perfectly, don't worry. The first resizing at PAROI is completely free (we only ask you to cover the cost of the insured premium shipping). Our workshop will readjust the piece so that the symbol of your story is as perfect as the moment you give it to them.
Your only task is to prepare the question. We'll take care of the rest.
